Born in Guatemala and raised in Los Angeles, Evelyn is of the third generation of her family to call Friends family. Her and her husband Douglas have been married for 27 years and have two young adult children, Jason and Amy. She is an education specialist as well as an English and Spanish teacher. Evelyn is thankful for the opportunity to use her M.A. in Pastoral Studies and M.A. in Education to serve God’s Kingdom in various church roles over the past 30 years. Today, Evelyn serves and supports our Spanish-speaking ministry and helps those of the second and third generation navigate their call to serve as the FSW Relational Health Advocate.
